My Very Sick Little Man

It's been a really rough 10 days for Mr Mason. A severe case of the stomach flu at 7 months old is awful....throwing up for 6 straight days, not able to hold down anything (even water), can't move arms and legs, no energy to cry, very dehydrated, losing weight.....JUST AWFUL!!! Ryan and I had already made a plan to take Mason to the hospital if he didn't show any signs of improvement the end of day 6. Amazingly, and as if he heard us talking and understood what was about to happen, he started to turn a small corner.

Today is day 10! While Mason is definitely not back to normal, he is much better than he was. Instead of 1 tsp of Pedialyte every 15 minutes, he can now drink a full 6 oz bottle. He's still not eating food yet and is pretty cranky, but I'll take whatever improvements I can get! Really looking forward to the day when we're back to a normal routine and this stomach flu is a distant memory.
