While I'd love to say Makena had the best time ever at her birthday party, the truth is she was sick! Since this post is about all things "HAPPY", we'll save that topic for later.
My oh my, how is it possible for Ryan and I to have a 2 year old already?!?!? We truly could not ask for a better first child than Makena. She makes parenting look easy.....99% of the time:) I could make a list a mile long of all the great things Makena can do at 2 years old. Instead, I'll just list the first things that come to mind!
Makena can...
1. Count to 20 in English and 10 in Spanish
2. Count by 10's to 100
3. Say the alphabet
4. Pick out her own clothes
5. Sing several songs (Twinkle Twinkle, Itsy Bitsy Spider, Wheels on the Bus, Old McDonald, Ring Around the Rosie, 5 Little Monkeys, Head Shoulders Knees and Toes)
6. Go pee pee and poo poo in the potty
7. Recite Brown Bear, Brown Bear
8. Dress herself
9. Climb in her car seat
10. Say the days of the week
Makena loves....
1. Shopping
2. Playing outside
3. People watching
4. Reading books
5. Looking at pictures
6. Wearing jackets and sunglasses
7. Taking showers
8. Playing hide and seek
9. Going to school
10. Anything blue
Makena does not like....
1. Strangers
2. Loud noises
3. Strawberries
4. Shots
5. Getting her hair done in the morning
Thanks to everyone who helped Makena celebrate her 2nd birthday. It was such a great day filled with family & friends, fun presents and exciting memories! We're looking forward to another fun-filled year!!!!
