The Viscomi Family: 1st Day of "School"

Today was Makena's first day at daycare. I'm choosing to think of it more like school (makes me feel a little better for some reason), so that's what I'll be calling it:) Ryan and I both dropped her off and stayed a while to make sure she was okay. We also called a couple times to check in throughout the day! Each time they told us Makena was doing great and having a lot of fun. I can't say I believed them, but it made me feel better to call anyway.

At the end of each day we get a cute report that tells us what she ate, what time she ate, what time she took her naps, what activities she did, her mood in the morning and afternoon and how many diaper changes she had. I'm sure in the beginning I'll keep them all:) Today Makena was happy, playful and loving in the morning and happy, playful and silly in the afternoon. The girls told me they usually don't have kids that have such good first days!!!! This was such a relief to hear....but we know the next couple weeks aren't always going to be filled with good days.

Sarah and I were picking the girls up at the same time, so Makena and Aven got to see each other today and say hi:) Always good to see a familiar face!!! When we got home grandma and grandpa came over to play with Makena and hear all about her first day of school. They also brought a new swing over for her new swing set!!! She loves it. What a great way to end a long day:)
