What an exciting, fun, relaxed Christmas day we had!!! The kids (and Brinkley) woke up to find that Santa had visited;) Santa's gifts and their stockings were enough to keep them busy for the day....they never even thought about all the presents under the tree. No worries...eventually the present opening began! Makena was great at opening this year while Mason really didn't have a lot of interest....as I expected:) He just wanted to play with everything once it was unwrapped. Makena was the same way at Mason's age! After unwrapping half the presents, we took a break and headed to Grandma and Grandpa's house for a delicious Christmas breakfast! Once we got back home, the rest of the presents were unwrapped and played with.
After nap time, we headed back to Grandma and Grandpa's house for Christmas dinner (still in our pj's) and more present opening!!!! The kids had just as many presents to open there as they did at home:) So many great toys to play with, books to read, clothes to try on and dress-up clothes to show off. It's a good thing I cleaned out the playroom before Christmas!!!
Note to self: Having all the Christmas shopping done before Thanksgiving was a great feeling. It's hard, however, not to shop between Thanksgiving and Christmas during all the great sales. Next year, it may be a good idea not to be so over-prepared:)
