He had a great check-up. Looks perfect and is doing all the right things....and then some:) He weighs 27 lbs 10 oz (72nd percentile), is 33 1/2 in (82nd percentile) and has a head circumference of 48 cm (65th percentile). Looking at his growth curve, he's made a big jump from where he was 6 months ago....which is great!!!
Daddy couldn't make it to this appointment so Grandma was nice enough to join us and stay in the room for the dreaded shots. She did her job well and Mason was done crying shortly after I walked back in the room. I'd like to say I'll be able to handle the shots on my own one day....but I think that's a total lie:)
Mason is saying mamma, dadda, sissy, puppy, please, up, off, on, hi, bye, o'toodles and fa la la la la very clearly. He also tries to say many other words like grandma and milk that are becoming more clear every day. He likes to go through books and pretend he's reading, which is so very cute to hear the gibberish coming out of his mouth!!! Mason also loves going up and down the stairs, playing kitchen, "shopping" in Mommy's pantry, eating any and all fruits, playing outside, swinging, creating Mr Potato Head masterpieces, watching Dora / Mickey / Handy Manny, dancing, trying on everyone's shoes and laughing with his sissy!!! He does not like to eat meat and hates stopping what he's doing to have his diaper changed.
I just can't believe how smart our little guy is. He's only 18 months and I find myself talking to him like he's 3. The things he understands amaze me;) Can't wait to see what Mason will be saying and doing when he's 2!
