The Viscomi Family: 1 Year Check-up

Mason's 1 year check-up had to be rescheduled because they didn't want to give him shots until he was feeling better from his double ear infection. So, Mr Man didn't have to go in for his check-up until June 11th. As a Mommy who hates shots as much as my kids do, I was perfectly fine waiting a couple weeks;)

When we finally saw Dr Henschel, Mason was healthy, happy and all smiles! He was 30" (51st percentile), 21 lbs 12 oz (29th percentile) and had a head circumference of 46 cm (35th percentile). Everything checked out great and we got the go ahead to start him on whole milk and all table foods. I was just as excited for myself as I was for Mason....FINALLY....Makena and Mason can have the same meal for dinner every night;) What a time saver!!!!

Daddy was on hand for the dreaded shots! Not two....not three....but four....FOUR!!!! I really think that should be against the law or something. Talk about torture for my poor buddy. He was pretty sad the whole car ride home but seemed to perk up when he got home and could play with Makena (who gave him lots of love all night long and kept saying "oh, my poor buddy, do you need a hug from sissy?!?!").
