2 Months Old

3 words....growing, growing and growing!!! Mason is getting to be such a big boy already. He's wearing 3 to 6 month clothes and has such big feet. He's still an excellent sleeper, taking long naps during the day and sleeping great at night. His current night schedule is eating around 10pm, falling asleep while he eats, waking up around 2:30am to eat, falling asleep while he eats and then waking up around 7am. His cranky time (5pm to 8pm) is starting to fade away and he's now enjoying watching Makena play during this time. He's also starting to appreciate her hugs, kisses and all the toys she brings to him! I've come up with an assortment of nicknames including Mr Man, Mason Man, Mr Mason Man, Masi, Chunkers, Chunka Munka, Monkey, Monkey Man, Buddy and Budders.

Mason's 2 month check-up went great! He weighs 12 lbs 7 oz (69th percentile), is 24 inches (86th percentile) and has a head circumference of 39.2 cm (32nd percentile). The pediatrician said he looks perfect and is VERY strong. Of course, this fun experience had to be ruined at the end with 3 shots. Like usual, Ryan stayed with Mason while I left the room. But I didn't just leave the room....this time I actually left the building. You'd think I'd be used to this by now since Mason is my second child but I think its worse! Walking back in the room and seeing him with big tears running down his cheeks is such a terrible feeling:( Ryan said he did great....but that's what he always says so I never really know! The good news is Mr Mason Man was all smiles later that day and my headache finally went away that night:)
