1st Black Eye

Makena got a black eye at school from her friend Aven! No....there were no fists involved:) Aven pulled a small bookcase over and the corner hit Makena's eye. When I picked her up from school her eye lid looked like it was covered with bright pink eye shadow....it was so red and puffy. She went to sleep that night with reddness, a little swelling and a cut. She woke up the next morning with a real shiner:( AAAAHHHHH.....what's a mom to do?!?!?! Take a picture, I guess. It doesn't look too bad in these pictures but the bruise definitely got much worse before it got better. Poor Makena walked around with a shiner for over a week.
