Makena did her first craft project with mommy! We made a t-shirt for grandma and grandpa. She was a great helper and LOVED getting her hands in the paint. "More mama, more mama, more mama!" We wrote 'I ♥ MY GRANDMA & GRANDPA' and Makena got to put her hand prints on the back.
Makena, Grandma and I spent Saturday morning walking around downtown LS. It was such a pretty day....great for a nice walk/stroller ride! At our last shop, Makena was in her stroller and grabbed on to a small display of Vera Bradley wallets/note pads. I didn't realize she was holding on so tight and when I pushed the stroller the display fell to the ground! Makena's very sweet "uh oh" did not make me feel better! As I was putting the stroller in the car, I realized one of the Vera Bradley note pads had fallen in the bottom of her stroller. OMG....MAKENA'S FIRST (and hopefully last) SHOPLIFTING EXPERIENCE!!!! Are you wondering whether or not I took it back?!?!?!? Duh....of course I did.....but not before snapping a quick picture of this funny, yet very embarrasing moment;) The rest of the day was spent hanging out with grandma and grandpa.
Saturday night, Nani and Poppy came in town to spend the rest of the weekend with Makena. They played, ate dinner and put her to bed while mommy and daddy went to a wedding. On Sunday, Makena gave Nani her card, we had some breakfast and then it was off to church. Turns out Makena wasn't in the quiet, sitting mood so she spent most of the service in the lobby with daddy;) The rest of the day was spent playing at our neighborhood playground and around the house.
The last picture is hysterical! 3 girls were sitting together having a snack at the playground. Makena walked right up and sat with them. I'm not sure what she was expecting.....a bite of their snack.....some good conversation????? She's such a big girl!!!!
