For the past week and a half Makena has been taking swim lessons. I didn't think she'd be learning anything....just having fun splashing in the water....but she actually learned a lot. Makena can stand on the edge and jump in, blow bubbles, float on her belly, kick her legs, do ice cream scoops (use her arms to paddle) and rockets (push of the side of the pool with her legs). The only part she hated was floating on her back. Aven, Claire, Alivia and Ramsey were all in Makena's class so she had lots of fun seeing and playing with her friends every night. Since there were 6 nights, Makena did a couple classes with mommy, a couple with daddy and a couple with grandma. Grandpa was a good spectator:) On the last night, Makena's teacher gave her a certificate! Yay for Makena's first completed class....CONGRATULATIONS to our big girl.
I haven't had a chance to go through all 200 pictures we took throughout the week, but here are a few of the highlights. I'm sure I'll add more in a couple days!
