4 Month Check Up

This week Makena had her 4 month check-up. She weighs 13 lbs 3 oz (50th percentile) and is 24 3/4 inches (75th percentile). To be fair, she had a 6 oz bottle in the waiting room before her appointment, so the nurse said she probably weighs closer to 13 lbs....which was my exact guess:) Being in the 75th percentile for her height explains why she is in between sizes right now. Makena needs 3 month shirts but 3-6 month pants. Once again, shots were on the to-do list. Like last time, I had to leave the room. I decided to walk to the waiting room this time instead of standing right outside the door. That didn't really make it any better. I still felt like I was going to be sick in the waiting room and I still wanted to slap the nurse for hurting my baby. I mean, I know it's necessary...but with all the great ideas people come up with...surely there has to be a better way. Could someone please start working on that?!?!?!?! Grandma, Uncle Michael and Aunt Alexis came over to make sure Makena was feeling okay.
